No Surprises Here: Years After Medical Malpractice Tort Reform, Malpractice Insurance & Healthcare Isn’t Cheaper

30 U.S. states have enacted medical malpractice tort reform laws that limit the recovery of damages for victims of malpractice and their loved ones.

Tort reform was pitched as a means to cut the cost of healthcare, in part, by lowering the cost of malpractice insurance.  But the results are disappointing.

There’s no surprises in a recent study which found that Tort Reform Has Not Reduced Health Care Costs in Texas.
